Journal of Materials Research 版面费 已有10人参与

最近录用了1篇Journal of Materials Research，出版编辑通知要交版面费！ 之前我也知道这个问题，但由于自己项目经费很少，我在投稿之前就没有上传那些关于上交版面费等文件。 我刚提交了豁免版面费的申请！编辑马上回复说，希望我交，还给我折扣25%。 还说，如果不交要排队等候出版，最少8个月。 这里请问大家，有没有哪位有不交JMR版面费的经验。实在没钱交。 如果不交，对以后投稿该期刊有影响吗？还有，不交版面费的话，出版周期要多长呢？ 谢谢各位！！ |

It has been noted that you have declined page charges. Is it possible for some of the co-authors to contribute toward the page charges? Because publication charges are essential for covering the cost of editing, composition, and other work related to the production of a journal, it is JMR policy to give first priority in publication to papers for which charges have been paid, as these papers subsidize the production of the journal. As a result, only a small proportion of manuscripts published in a particular issue can be those that have declined page charges; the remainder are placed in the queue, in order of acceptance, until a spot opens in a future issue. At the present time it may take up to eight months or longer before papers can be scheduled for publication. In order to move you up in the queue, we are willing to offer you a 25% discount on publication charges. If you agree to this discount, please complete and return the attached page charge form and you must indicate “accepting 25% discount per Lorraine Wolf” on the form. Please note that papers for which publication charges have been accepted receive priority in publication order as they do subsidize production of the journal. Please fax the form to 724-779-4396 by Thursday, April 22. The page charge form must be completed in full before an article can be scheduled for publication. This includes providing the manuscript number, title and authors, as well as completing the Acceptance, Method of Payment, and Billing/Mailing Address sections. * Acceptance - a signature provided if agreeing to the page charges. * Method of Payment - provide complete credit card payment information including signature or a completed and signed purchase order must be received * Billing/Mailing Address section - include complete mailing address information, phone, fax and e-mail. The completed form must be returned by Thursday, April 22, before an article can be scheduled for publication. Even if page charges are being declined, a completed form must include the manuscript number, title, authors, and institution, country and the reason for requesting a waiver of page charges, the form must be returned. |
