【Leisure chat】I recommend a nice book: To kill a mockingbird 已有9人参与

To kill a mockingbird. Though it is the first English book I ever read, it was the best starting point. This book was writing in a child's tone in it's first half, showing me a vivid picture of Megan county's daily life. Also, lots of Southern oral were used by the writer-Harper Lee, and I think it's wonderful to me cause I don't have oppotunity to learn that in my life. Except it's authentic oral, this book dicussed humanity-upright, kind-hearted and ugly aspect. The most important is: over reading this book may not make you a gentleman, but it do make you knowing how to be a gentleman. There are too many things in the book that I can't present to you in my poor english.
