Through Analyze we ask the search engine to do all the hard work for us, specifically to look through all the answers and give us indications of the numbers of records in various areas. The 12 Analyze options available for bibliographic records in SciFinder may be viewed by clicking on the down arrow on the right of Author Name (Figure 1.8).When we move down any of these and release the mouse the computer looks through all the answers and gives a histogram of terms. For example, if we go down to Index Term (we already know that understanding indexing is important) we see the start of a histogram of Index Headings (Figure 1.9). Click Show More and all Index Headings appear (Figure 1.10). We now need to work out what all this means!
