With exploitation of phosphorus ore, the high-grade phosphorus ore is becoming less and less in the present resource . The utilization of poor phosphorus rocck and the purity of crude phosphoric acid have turned into issues urgently asked for resolving . At the present time, phosphoric acid has two kinds of manufacturing manners of thermal process and wet process. In the thermal process, phosphorus is first produced by reduction of phosphate rock, followed by oxidation and hydration to give phosphoric acid. And in the wet process, acidolysis of phosphate rock and purification of crude phosphoric acid are included. Due to the presence of impurities in the raw material the produced phosphoric acid inevitably contains many chemical species, such as iron, aluminum, magnesium and fluorine etc., which seriously affect the quality of the product and limit its application.

At present, there are main two methods in phosphoric acid manufacturing, i.e., thermal process and wet process. In the thermal process, phosphoric acid is produced by oxidation and hydration of phosphorus reduced from phosphate rock. While in the wet process, procedures include acidolysis of phosphate rock and purification of crude phosphoric acid. However, restricted by the raw material, the produced phosphoric acid inevitably contains impurities, such as  iron, aluminum, magnesium and fluorine, which is harmful for the quality and limit its application.

phosphate rock was acidolyzed and then purification of crude phosphoric acid.
Due to the presence of impurities in the raw material , the production process would inevitably  interfered by  such iron, aluminum, magnesium and fluorine etc., Therefore, the application of the products was largely limited by the quality of the products.
