Crime and Love

This is a love story that infiltrated with complicated feelings, angry, sympathy, sighing with regret, touched by sincerity. This is a man’s legend of repenting his guilt with unswerving efforts and exclusive love. This is an elaboration of conscience rebirth out of an evil soul. This is a romance mixed with tear and joy.

Zhang Ran, a young man demobilized from army and settled in Dazhou, a county-level city in southwest China’s Shicuan province, fell in love with a beautiful girl who worked in the same work unit as Zhang. Zhang is a guard and the girl is a factory radio broadcaster. Though not quite self confident for his personal conditions, Zhang was still meant to court the girl, Lili, who had been his sweetheart in dream. But unfortunately it was in fact sort of one-side love. Lili didn’t accept his dating invitation and clearly rejected his love signal. Zhang felt extremely depressed from then on and with alcoholic drinking to vent his grievance. Zhang and Lili happened to attend a wedding ceremony of a friend of both of them and they met again. Zhang felt hurt and kept drinking as much liquor. After that ceremony, Zhang boosted his courage and said to Lili he would like to send her back home with his borrowed car. Lily was not able to reject the guy’s hospitality and got up his car reluctantly. On the way home, tempted by Lili’s sexy body features and stirred by the alcohol, Zhang couldn’t help refraining his smouldering vexation induced by hormone and raped her. Just right after the release of sex emotion, Zhang realized what he had did and what he would pay for his impulsion. Lili’s virgin was deprived and her colorful future ruined. Feared the horrible future life she would face, Lili chose to commit suicide by crashing a car. Zhang saved her and knelt down before her repenting his grilt and solicited her forgiveness. Driving by his awakened conscience, Zhang confessed his crime to the police and was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. While Zhang do time in jail, Lili finally married a worker after many unexpected twists and turns in spite of her pretty face and attracting figure. Though being one’s wife, Lili was not happy as her husband remained very blinkered and always suspected Lili would have sex affairs with other man. Such kind of doubt come to the limit when Zhang was released form jail after 3 years reform there. Zhang’s conscience had been always scourged since he was thrown into prison. He realized he had changed Lili’s life road and cause her much misery. In order to show his repentation, Zhang came to Lili’s parents’s home and knelt agin for forgiveness but his efforts were in vain and Lili’s mother ordered him roll back his own home. Though being insulted publicly, Zhang took it on his chin and borrowed some money to do his business of clothing wholesale. Lili’s husband took Zhang’s apology as sort of provocation and mistreated Lili using barbarian means and finally led to the splitting of their family. What’s worse, Lili contracted a heavy kidney disease and should have her sick kidney replaced so as to live longer. But where to find out the health and matched kidney and how to pay the over 200,000 yuan operating fees? At the critical junction, Zhang appeared and not only donated his one kidney but further sold out his business and house at a low price to raise enough money for saving his Lili. Maybe the God touched by Zhang’s sincerity and Lili’s misfortune, the kidney-transplanting operation was successful and both of Zhang and Lili had got over that tough time. As you can expected, the two couple finally got married and now live a happy life in their hometown.
