Position: Medical Imaging Research Scientist Organization: Siemens Corporate Technology China Location: Beijing, China Description: Center for Medical Imaging Validation (CMIV) in Medical Research group of Siemens Corporate Technology China has an immediate opening for a "Medical Imaging Research Scientist". CMIV is located in Beijing and is a joint research team of Siemens Corporate Research, US and Siemens Corporate Technology China. CMIV is developing an innovative Advanced Validation Workspace that integrates, analyzes and reports on complex data from medical imaging applications, and turning it into insight that is used to deliver the highest quality of applications possible. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse group including engineers, physicists, radiologists, and statisticians. He/she will be responsible for developing innovative technology for a variety of applications in medical image processing/analysis and medical imaging, with an emphasis on validation methods and tools for medical imaging applications. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a doctoral or master degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or biomedical engineering, with strong R&D experience in the fields of image processing, image analysis, computer vision, scientific visualization, and computer graphics, Strong programming skill in C/C++ or Java is required. Expertise in ITK, VTK, OpenGL or Open Inventor is preferable. Working experience in developing medical imaging applications is highly desirable (segmentation, registration, PACS, etc.). Good English communication skills are required. Candidates with problem solving skills and desire and ability to learn new technologies and apply them to challenging problems will find a stimulating and rewarding career at CMIV.
