审稿人要求重新进行数据分析

昨晚审稿意见返回，一个minor changes，好修改； 另外一个major changes，而且意见中提到关于数据处理的问题——“The low number of replicates per treatment, the calculation of inhibition instead of absolute radial growth and the use of ANOVA on data which do not meet the assumptions for this method makes it impossible to accept the manuscript in the present version. ” 我的MS中关于Statistical analysis是这样子的——“Data of the colony diameter of test fungi in the same treatment were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SAS (Version 8.1 for windows; SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). Significances of mean differences (P < 0.05) between concentrations were assessed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test.” 我发现问题出在自己的表格数据中没用Data of the colony diameter，而是用了利用Data of the colony diameter 算出来的 inhibition percentage. 因此，审稿人在Recommended changes中提到——“assumptions for ANOVA are: normality – normal distribution of residuals – homoscedasticity – homogeneity of variances – and randomization. The data – three replicates, inhibition calculated in percent - are not distributed normally. You may use radial growth of fungi forstatistical analysis, also in order to test which ** concentration causes a significant inhibition, i.e. is significantly different from the growth of the unamended control ” 请问我是按照审稿人的意见修改表格中的数据好，还是修改数据处理的方法比较好？（老板建议修改方法）我对数据分析比较头大。 请有经验的虫友帮我分析一下，谢谢！ |
