图5是450 ℃时得到的不同掺杂TiO2降解甲基橙的降解率曲线,由图5可见,各样品具有明显的光催化活性,纯TiO2、Cd-TiO2、N-TiO2、N,Cd-TiO2的催化活性依次增强。当光照射15分钟时,纯TiO2、Cd-TiO2、N-TiO2、N,Cd-TiO2对甲基橙的降解率分别为88%、96%、97%和99%,说明元素掺杂提高了TiO2的光催化活性,N,Cd共掺杂对光催化活性的提高更明显。当光照射25分钟时,掺杂TiO2已将甲基橙降解完全。究其原因,掺杂原子的引入使得晶体的带隙变窄,光吸收范围拓展的同时光吸收增强;同时,掺杂元素使得晶体结构扭曲变形,结晶度变差,晶体的比表面积增大,会增大催化剂与底物的接触,晶体的表面缺陷会抑制催化剂表面电子-空穴对的复合,使其光催化活性增大。
