兄弟们，这个算不算正式的OFFER？

被老外搞怕了，不知道算不算正式的？或有其它变数？ Dear XX: I am pleased to make you an offer for the position of a research associate in my research group at XX UNIV. The salary will be $XX per year. The start date will be around XX, 2010(the exact date will depend on visa processing time). XX UNIV. will send the required information for you to obtain a J visa. You will then have to go to the local US consulate for final visa processing. You will need to arrange your own travel to XX. The offer is for duration of one year. Your work at XX will mainly focus on XXX. It is expected that you will publish papers in peer reviewed journals based on this research. In addition, you will be expected to be a leader for graduate students in the group. Please let me know if you have any questions.
