Movies and magazine advertising campaigns showed how “typical” Americans were meant to look and interact. (2)Supported by huge international advertising campaigns, millions of people copied these styles, and “American manners” began having a significant effect on how people acted worldwide. (3)These simple, everyday behaviors have their roots in the special American cultural attitudes. For them, these are related to the frontier heritage and the code of the west, i.e, fair play equal opportunity and hard work. |
