[交流] 向Information Processing Letters投稿遭遇，请大家帮忙出出主意

我09年12.28号向Information Processing Letters数据库领域编辑S.E. Hambrusch投稿，论文双栏单倍行距9页，2010年1.7号S.E. Hambrusch处理（估计刚休假回来），1.13号因为格式问题被拒，回信如下。

Dear **,

I regret that I am unable to process your submission in the current format.

The aim of IPL is to allow rapid dissemination of interesting results in the field of information processing in the form of short, concise papers. To this end, submissions should not exceed the equivalent of nine A4 or 81/2-by-11 double-spaced typed pages.

Your paper is in two-column, single spaced format. The text, especially on the last 3 pages, is so dense that I find it rather difficult to read.  A submission needs to be one-column format, double space, and at most 9 pages.

Should you resubmit a revision to IPL, you may want to choose an editor in the area of computational complexity.

第一次投，没什么经验，有几点不明白请大家指教：
1、The text, especially on the last 3 pages, is so dense that I find it rather difficult to read.
The text is so dense可以是被拒的理由吗？

2、A submission needs to be one-column format, double space, and at most 9 pages.
觉得她这个理由很无稽，原因如下：
（1）我投稿前专门问了managing editor  Andrzej Tarlecki格式的问题，答复是格式没关系（见下）,我目前把这个情况跟S.E. Hambrusch说了，但她还没回复。

（2）而且它家网页上并没说单双栏或但双倍行距，所以我采用elsevier latex的模板按IPL刊出文章格式采用了双栏

（3）身边一位向IPL投稿的作者选择数据库领域编辑zhou，双栏排版，没问题

这个理由似乎也不成立，我做的确实是数据库领域数据依赖的公理化问题，虽然涉及可满足性和蕴含问题复杂度的分析，但重点是公理化，况且我所研究内容相关工作的一位作者去年就在IPL上数据库领域发表了文章（关键词显示非常清楚）。

而且我投稿前专门查了S.E. Hambrusch历年发表的文章，档次水平都很高，咨询国外数据库领域的一个留学生，认为S.E. Hambrusch is very good at theory and algorithms.

郁闷，不知S.E. Hambrusch这样是否公正，有失偏颇？我怎么保护自己的权利，而不至于辛苦几个月的工作仅因为格式或编辑原因就被over？

此外如果S.E. Hambrusch确实觉得证明不易理解（相关工作中有作者在ACM transactions on Databases提供另一公理系统证明，与我的繁简程度相当，难道IPL的编辑就这么水平？），我考虑能否将公理系统证明删略，在网上提供技术报告给出证明细节？不知期刊是否允许这样。
