Furthest Distance 不是泰戈尔诗

网上误传 “世界上最遥远的距离 Furthest distance in the World" 为泰戈尔作越来越多。以讹传讹. I poted a follow up on that topic in the BBS but no one seems to have taken any notice. I hope by posting this on a separate thread, people will pay attention to it. More and more people are putting up on BBSes and blogs the poem "Furthest distance in the World" and labelling it as a work by Tagore. Unfortunately, as popular as it is, it is not a work of Tagore's. "世界上最遥远的距离" 原是中文, 背后有一个有趣的典故。 "Furthest Distance in the world" is originally in Chinese. There is an interesting story behind it. 此诗被误传为以泰戈尔的作品，其实第一段是张小娴所作，后来被一群台湾学生改编了(集體創作接龍 ) . 有读过泰戈尔作品的人以经中网上发言 (1)，泰戈尔的作品没有“ Furthest Distance in The World” 网上所载的”Furthest Distance in The World-张小娴世界上最遥远的距离“ 都是贴者看到别人网上所贴，再转了去。于是以 讹传讹，越传越多。 There are more than two different versions of "世界上最遥远的距离" and three or more English versions. The one most often found on the Internet is the one entitled "Furthest Distance in the World" with one line missing in the fourth stanza; a verb missing in some of the lines; and punctuation missing: all indications that it is not translated from Bengali to English by an expert, but a poor translation from Chinese to English by amateurs. There are two other translations "Farthest Distance" by AlwaysBlue and "Farthest Distance" by Howard.
