We are pleased to invite scholars and postgraduates to give their contributions. Navigation services is one of the most important applications of Location based services (LBS), which is a promising and fast developing field in Geoinformatics. Traditional vehicle navigation has made great commercial success. Nowadays, pedestrian navigation has also obtained great concern. Emergency guidance/navigation services still need more attention from both academic and application aspects, though LBS was originally put forward for emergencies. And location privacy is also an important topic of LBS. This special session also wants to discuss location privacy under emergencies. It will focus on various guidance services under different types of emergencies and location privacy problem under emergencies. We hope this special session will push research and application of LBS and emgergency management towards more safety life of the public. Contributions from the fields of Cartography, Geoinformatics, Transportation, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Social Science, Psychology, Geodesy, Geomedia Techniques, etc. should address, but are not limited to current topics of: * Emergency Guidance/Navigation Services of Public Transportation * Wayfinding Algorithms Under Various Emergencies * Positioning Methods Under Emergencies (Indoor/Outdoor) * Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing Under Emergencies * Virtual and Augmented Reality for Emergency Location Based Services * Personalization & Adaptive Methods * Spatial Modelling of Environments under Various Emergencies * Modelling of Dynamic Emergencies * Location Based Sensor Networks for Emergency services * Media Technologies for Guidance/Navigation Services Under Emergencies * GeoTwitter and Emergency Location Based Services * Virtual and Augmented Reality for Emergency Guidance Services * Social Network and Emergency Guidance Services * Location Privacy in Mobile/Pervasive Computing Environment * Location Privacy under Emergencies * Protection of Location Privacy and Emergency Guidance Services * Context-aware Privacy * Emergency Location Based Services with Location Privacy * Policy Study of Location Privacy under Emergencies * User Perceptive to Location Privacy under Emergencies * Query Processing of Private Location Data and Information Security * Web2.0, Web3.0 and Location Privacy * Evacuation Modelling * Location Privacy and Public Security * Emergency Management and Transportation * Emergency Navigation/Guidance Appications * Other Researches and Appications of Emergency Location Based Services Publications: All the accepted full papers of the special session would be included in the main conference proceedings of GeoInformatics 2010, which is to be EI-indexed. And accepted papers might be asked for extention for special issues of international journals. Abstract Submission: Please submit abstracts online at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=geoinformatics2010. Authors should add "For special session:For More Safety Life: Emergency Guidance Services and Location Privacy" at the top of your abstract. Your file should be named as "Special session EGSLP.pdf". Participants are invited to submit original, unpublished research contributions or experience reports not concurrently submitted elsewhere. All abstracts must be 300-500 words long and written in English.
