Positions of PhD student and research assistant/associate (computational nanomaterial science) available @ Hong Kong Polytechnic University Salary: • PhD student: the gross salary is ~ HK$ 10,000 per month after tuition fee deduction • Research assistant/associate: > HK$ 11000 per month, depends on experience. Research direction: • Explore nanomaterials (nanotubes, nanowires, fullerenes, composite materials) via ab inito calculation, molecular dynamic and/or Monte Carlo simulation and multi-scale modeling. Qualifications: • Master degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields by the middle of 2010 • CET-6 (For PhD student) • Good programming skills, experience of Linux/Unix systems, using ab initio software packages are preferred.
