芒硝是一种储量丰富的天然矿藏，也是许多化工过程的副产物（大多来自于酸碱中和），但其本身利用价值低, 市场容量小, 开发新的利用途径具有重要意义。纯碱(Na2CO3)是重要的工业原料，广泛应用于国民经济的各个领域，目前全球纯碱年消耗量4500万吨，所以研究将芒硝转化为纯碱对循环经济和可持续发展都具有重要意义。事实上，早在200多年前的路布兰制碱法就是用硫酸钠制得纯碱并副产硫酸。路布兰制碱法之后，前苏联、日本及我国等国家,又对芒硝制纯碱的其它方法进行了研究,且卓有成效,主要包括湿法及干法，循环制碱法，有机胺制碱法。这些方法都各有利弊，经济效益也都不高。

Glauber's salt is an abundant natural mineral resource and also is the byproducts of many chemical processes (mainly resulted from the neutralization of acid and alkali). But due to its lower exploitation value and market volume, it is of great importance to develop new approach of its exploitation.

纯碱(Na2CO3)是重要的工业原料，广泛应用于国民经济的各个领域，目前全球纯碱年消耗量4500万吨，所以研究将芒硝转化为纯碱对循环经济和可持续发展都具有重要意义。
Na2CO3 is an important industrial material and has extensive applications in fields of national economy. Currently, the global consumption of Na2CO3 is 4500 ton per year. So it plays an important role in recycling economy and sustainable development by studying the transformation of Glauber's salt into Na2CO3.
