投稿被拒却未给评审意见，请各位大侠解读！

以下是邮件全文，请各位大侠指点。由于第一次投稿SCI期刊，所以很紧张，苦等了四个月，太伤士气了。被拒到不可怕，最主要的是没给评审意见，是不是文章很烂，都不忍心说了，信心严重短缺中。。。 I am sorry that I cannot provide you with a more favourable information. 这句话有什么深意吗？还是一般的套话？是不是文章很烂，都不忍心说了？ Dear ***, I am writing to you with regard to your manuscript # ***entitled "***" which you submitted to Wood Science and Technology. Your manuscript has been reviewed. Unfortunately, the referees do not recommend publication of your article in our journal. Therefore, your manuscript has been denied publication in Wood Science and Technology. I am sorry that I cannot provide you with a more favourable information.
