Job Title: User Experience Developer Intern Location: Shanghai, China Period of validity: 21,Dec,2009-30,Jan,2010 Purpose PerkinElmer serves a wide range of customers in the research, laboratory, and clinical environments around the world. As a critical component, our GDC (Glob al Development Center) is responsible for the research and development for a v ariety of global IT projects for internal and external customers. We are searc hing User Experience Developer to join our projects. The job is temporary, and intern preferred. This User Experience Developer will play a hands-on role on a globally focused , globally deployed web development team and will be focused on delivering sol utions that bridge the gap between visual design / user experience design and technical implementation. Key Responsibilities Analyze User Interface requirements, wire-frames, and visual designs and defin e UI coding approaches. Set and review UI coding standards that meet W3C standards and current best pr actices. Develop user experience using XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Ajax and CSS and inter act with back-end developers to ensure the user experience is integrated into the overall solution. This individual will also be involved in developing prototypes and mock-ups as sociated with website projects. Critical Success Factors The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering a high quality user ex perience, be able to work independently, and have outstanding written and oral communication skills that enable them to be a successful team player in a glo bally diverse, fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Development skills using HTML, DHTML, CSS. Experience inte grating design solutions into a Microsft.NET based web sites. Demonstrated ex perience delivering solutions in large e-commerce websites is desired. Communication Skills: Strong English skills that enable effective communicati on across a global team. Management of Resources: Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multi -task. Perform job requirements with minimal oversight and with excellent atte ntion to detail Education: Master’s degree with a major in computer science related field. CS, MIS, engineering.
