| 南宁市是广西壮族自治区的首府，位于珠江流域西江水系的最大支流郁江中、下游的邕江河段上，邕江贯穿南宁市区，将市区分成江南和江北两片。2008年末，主城区人口248万人，其中流动人口58万人。近年来，南宁市经济快速发展，随着城市化进程的日益加快、经济的快速增长和人们生活水平的不断提高，环境问题正逐步成为严重制约社会经济发展的主要因素之一。南宁市一些城市内河的污染形势仍然严峻，部分内河仅达到GB3838-2002《地表水环境质量标准》的Ⅴ类，甚至劣Ⅴ类标准；并且由于南宁市区目前污水管网普及率和污水处理能力不足，2008年污水管网普及率为52.14% ，污水处理能力44万m3/d，处理量占总污水量的59.9%，未经处理的污水（25.77万m3/d）直接排入了城市水系，造成了水体的污染，并对生态环境造成了极大的损害。近年来邕江局部河段水质受到严重污染，主要原因是制糖、造纸、淀粉和酒精制造企业大量工业废水超标排放，以及大部分城市生活污水未经处理直接排入江中。各类污水处理设施建设严重滞后，重开发，轻保护，是造成邕江及其支流水污染严重的主要原因。 |

| In recent years,the water quality of Yong river's local reaches suffers from severe pollution, mainly caused by the excessive diacharge of a great amount of industrial sewage from manufacturing enterprises engaging in sugaring, paper making, starch producing and alcohol making ,and most of the urban untreated sewage is directly discharged into the river.Constructions of wastewater treatment facilities seriously lag behind ,focusing on developing and paying a little attention to protection are main causes of the severe pollution of Yong river and its tributaries. |

Nanning City is the capital of Kwangsi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located in the stream segment of Yong river belonging to the middle and lower reaches of Yu river which is the largest tributary of Xi river's water system in the the river basin of Pearl river and divided into two regions of the southern one of Yong river and the northern by Yong river flowing through Nanning city.At the end of 2008, the number of population in Main City is 2.48 millions, in which the numeber of floating population is 0.58 miliions. In recent years, the Nanning city's economic development is rapidly expanded, with the increasingly rapid process of urbanization, the rapid economic growth and the improvement of people's living standard, the environmental problem is gradually becoming one of the main factors severely imposing restricts on the development of social economy. |
