英语修改，急！

那位大侠帮忙把下面一段非正式的英语表达方式修改为较为正式的书信表达形式，意思不变或表达相近，谢谢！(有效期两天) Now,why have we got all this crime?well,because the police are a waste of time ,of course!they are never on patrol round here and when there is some trouble, they ’re useless –they just ask a few questions and then go back to the police station! So,when are you going to do something about it?I think you’d better get some more patrols up here before there’s serious trouble.Not only that ,when you do arrest one of these little hooligans,you should lock them up for a bit,not just send them home with a telling off- they’ll only do it again! The question arises is that why we have got all the crime? This has to be attributed to the inefficiency of police who are never on patrol round here. When there is trouble, they just ask a few questions and then go back to the police station without any follow-ups! Are you going to do something about it? I believe that more patrols are necessary before there’s serious trouble. Not only that, when you do arrest one of these little hooligans, you should lock them up for a bit, not just send them home with a telling off- they’ll do it again! Looking forward to hearing from you soon with regard to this issue. |

The question is why there are so many crimes. Generally speaking, the police is careless and doesn't take crime serious. They never patrol around searching for problem. When there is a trouble, they just ask a few questions and then go back to the police station without doing anything. Therefore, which measures you are going to take to change this situation. Firstly, you should send the police to patrol around especially the dangerous and troublesome places because this can prevent some crimes before they happen. Secondly, you should take some tougher measures to punish the criminals than just sending them back home. If you do like this, you just show them how mercy the law is and they will do it again. This is just my suggestion and i hope you can give me more advice about this matter. I am looking forward to your letter!
