Springer’s Open Choice option for Open Access
Publishing your article as open access makes it freely available to everyone everywhere. Springer’s Open Choice option allows you to have your article published with open access by paying a fee of US$ 3000/ € 2000. If you want to choose Open Choice and order open access, please click the button ‘Yes, I order Open Access’ below.
If you want to have your article published in the traditional way, so that all subscribers of this journal have access to it, no fee applies. Please click the button ‘No Open Access’ below.
Copyright and Open Access
Authors opting for open access in the Springer Open Choice program are not required to transfer their copyright. Instead, simply by confirming the open access choice, they certify that they are the authors (and that they are authorized by any co-authors to choose open access on their behalf), vouch for their articles’ integrity and lawfulness and agree to Springer’s Open Choice License.
Payment Information
Authors opting for open access in the Springer Open Choice program, agree to pay the standard fee of US$ 3000/€ 2000. Customers in the Americas will be charged in US dollars, and customers in Europe, Asia, and Africa will be charged in Euros. VAT and other applicable taxes are not included in the standard fee, and will be added according to the requirements of the country where the order is placed.
