Black professional ink drawings or glossy photographs must be submitted with each paper for all figures. If words and numbers are to appear in a photograph, two prints must be submitted with the lettering clearly indicated on one print only. Original line drawings (no photocopies) in India ink must be submitted so that they are suitable for immediate reproduction. Drawings should be about twice the final size. The lettering must be clear and open and must be large enough to be reproduced in the same proportion as the figure itself. If this is not possible, the lettering may be provided on a tissue overlay. Please do not make any marks or identification on the figures themselves. A label must be attached to the back of all photographs and drawings indicating the author, the figure number, and the top of the photograph or drawing. Original drawings may be identified in the margin or on a tissue overlay. Figures are to be numbered consecutively throughout the paper in Arabic numerals. A complete list of all figure legends must be submitted as the last element of the typescript on a separate sheet or sheets.
