165、The Hierarchical Nature of Fields and the Non-existence

Abstract Modern physics has long assumed an equal and symmetric status between electric fields and magnetic fields, and has carried out theoretical deductions and experimental searches for magnetic monopoles for decades without obtaining any valid observational evidence. The root cause lies in the misalignment of cognition regarding the fundamental hierarchy of physical fields. Based on the theory of light primacy and the self-locking confinement structure of energy, this paper clarifies that the universe possesses only three primary fundamental interaction fields: the gravitational field, the strong interaction field, and the electrostatic field. The magnetic field is merely a secondary vortex field derived from the motion of electric charges rather than a fundamental interaction, and there is no symmetric equivalent relationship between them. This study clarifies that all fundamental interactions are attached to matter. Mass serves as the field source for gravitation and the strong force, while electric charges give rise to electrostatic effects. Positive and negative charges originate from two opposite three-dimensional circulation configurations of confined light energy inside the microcosmic cavities of particles, which constitute an essential polarization condition for the formation of macroscopic material structures. All primary fields obey the inverse-square law of distance attenuation. The strong interaction additionally carries an exponential attenuation factor, restricting its effective range strictly to the nuclear scale. The action of all primary fields propagates instantaneously across the entire field domain without any transmission medium or exchange particles. Since the magnetic field is inherently a closed circulation structure with no independent field source and entirely dependent on the motion of electric charges, the existence of magnetic monopoles is ruled out by fundamental physical structural axioms. The century-long search for magnetic monopoles represents a directional theoretical misunderstanding that confuses secondary derived effects with fundamental physical fields. The present work systematically clarifies the hierarchy, origin, attenuation boundary and generation mechanism of all field interactions, corrects the basic deviation of the classical electromagnetic symmetry hypothesis, and establishes the underlying logic for the unification of the three fundamental forces. Keywords: theory of light primacy; self-locking confinement structure; unification of three fundamental forces; primary radial field; secondary vortex field; magnetic monopole; inverse-square attenuation Introduction Since the establishment of classical electromagnetic theory, the academic community has long regarded electric fields and magnetic fields as equivalent fundamental physical fields based on the mathematical symmetry of Maxwell’s equations, inferring that independent magnetic monopoles should exist in nature. After Dirac put forward the hypothesis of magnetic monopoles, high-energy physics, cosmic ray observations, underground detectors and collider experiments have conducted hundreds of high-precision searches over decades, yet no repeatable and verifiable magnetic monopole signals have ever been detected, leading to a long-standing irreconcilable contradiction between theoretical expectations and physical observations. Meanwhile, fundamental disputes persist in modern physics concerning the transmission mechanism of interactions, the intrinsic nature of fields, the short-range mechanism of the strong force, and the physical meaning of electromagnetic symmetry. Artificial exchange particles are introduced to explain force propagation, while a unified interpretation of the homologous rules governing gravitation, the strong force and the electric field remains absent. Theoretical physics assumes perfect electromagnetic symmetry on one hand, yet cannot explain the inherent paired north-south polarity of magnetic fields which cannot be separated individually. The core crux of existing theories is the failure to distinguish hierarchical differences between primary fundamental fields and secondary derived fields. Mathematical formal symmetry has been mistaken for ontological physical symmetry, reversing the causal relationship between electric fields and magnetic fields and ignoring the universal origin of all fundamental interactions as diffused confined light energy inside matter. Starting from the ontological generation of matter within the framework of light primacy and energy self-locking, this paper states that matter forms when free light energy condenses through self-locking confinement by the strong force, giving rise to two intrinsic properties: mass and polarized electric charge. These produce three classes of primary fundamental fields. Positive and negative charges arise from the polarization effect of opposing three-dimensional circulation patterns of confined light energy inside particle cavities, an indispensable prerequisite for forming atoms, molecules and macroscopic material structures. The magnetic field is merely a concomitant vortex secondary effect generated by moving electric charges without independent fundamental ontology and does not belong to the category of fundamental interactions. Based on structural hierarchy, attenuation law, effective range and generation mechanism of physical fields, this paper axiomatically disproves the existence of magnetic monopoles, elaborates the underlying logic of the three fundamental force fields together with the secondary magnetic field, resolves the classical electromagnetic asymmetry paradox and the magnetic monopole puzzle, and establishes a self-consistent foundational framework for the unification of the three fundamental forces.  |
