FAFU-WUR联合培养博士项目

Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) and Wageningen University (WU) Joint PhD Programme has been established to strengthen collaboration. The programme follows a “1+2+1” mode, with 2 years at WU and 2 years at FAFU, leading to a PhD diploma awarded individually by each university. Hence, candidates are registered at FAFU and WU, and will be supervised by distinguished faculty from both FAFU and WU where the first promotor is a Wageningen senior scientist as the first graduation will be at WU. This programme is supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). 10 highly motivated PhD candidates will be recruited to commence their studies every year. 1. Eligibility and Qualifications Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: Nationality & Age: Hold Chinese citizenship and be under 35 years of age. Academic Background: Hold a Master's degree or be a final-year Master's student expected to graduate before 31 August 2027. Have a strong academic background in Biology, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a closely related field. Academic Standards: Fulfill the admission requirements for PhD candidates at both FAFU and WUR. FAFU Admission Requirements WUR Admission Requirements English Proficiency: Meet the English language requirements set by both CSC and WUR. This can be demonstrated by: A Master's degree completed in English. A valid TOEFL iBT (≥90, with ≥22 in Speaking) or IELTS Academic (≥6.5, with ≥6.0 in Speaking) test score. Other certificates accepted by both WUR and CSC. WUR English Requirements CSC English Requirements Other: Demonstrate a strong interest in interdisciplinary research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team. 2.Funding and Scholarships CSC Scholarship: A monthly living allowance (according to CSC standards) during the stay in the Netherlands. One round-trip international airfare between China and the Netherlands. FAFU Funding: A bench fee( tuition fee) payable to the WUR chair group during the candidate's stay in the Netherlands. All research expenses incurred at FAFU. Additional international travel costs required by the research project, as agreed by the supervisors. The Wageningen University Chair Group Funding: All research expenses incurred at WU. Training and education activities required by WU. 3.
