美国伊利诺伊大学生物地球化学专业方向招收博士学生
The Hydro-Biogeochemistry Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking two PhD students to begin in Fall 2027, fully funded through research and teaching assistantships. The students will work on an NSF CAREER project on watershed nitrogen reactive transport, characterizing isotope effects during microbial N transformations (e.g., nitrification, denitrification, mineralization) across redox and soil conditions and incorporating them into conceptual and process-based models for coupled water and nitrogen tracing. Methods include stable isotopes of nitrate, N2O, and water, 15N tracers, and high-frequency sensors, with data-driven or process-based modeling.
Backgrounds in soil science, hydrology, ecology, environmental science or engineering, or related fields are welcome.
