Rolling global recruitment all year round. Preferred Research Areas: Semiconductor devices, semiconductor materials, optoelectronic devices, photovoltaic technology, energy materials (including perovskite), electronic information, instrumentation science and technology, etc. 1. Introduction Xi’an Jiaotong University is a Class A Double First-Class, 985 and 211 university in China. The Young Top-Talent Program serves as the university’s core young talent scheme. Outstanding young scholars across the globe are openly recruited for full-time positions with permanent employment status. 2. Basic Eligibility Requirements • Candidates shall abide by national policies, uphold academic ethics, possess good moral character and physical and mental health, and work full-time at the university. • Hold a doctoral degree. • For natural science and engineering applicants: Category A candidates are generally ≤40 years old; Category B candidates are generally ≤36 years old. The age limit may be moderately relaxed for exceptionally outstanding candidates. • Applicants shall have achieved remarkable academic outputs recognized by peers among young scholars, with broad academic vision and the potential to grow into leading scholars in the research field. • Research priorities: semiconductor devices, semiconductor materials, optoelectronic devices, photovoltaic technology, energy materials (including perovskite), electronic information and instrumentation science and technology. 3. Appointment • Category A: Professor, PhD Supervisor • Category B: Research Professor, PhD Supervisor The appointment adopts a tenure-track evaluation system. Candidates who pass the review at the end of the probationary period will be transferred to permanent long-term positions. 4. Benefits & Support (Official Standard) Research Startup Funding • Category A (Science & Engineering): RMB 2,000,000 • Category B (Science & Engineering): RMB 1,000,000 Funds can be used for equipment procurement, experimental consumables, business trips, academic exchanges and other research-related expenses. One-Time Relocation Allowance • Category A: RMB 500,000 • Category B: RMB 300,000 Remuneration The university provides a base annual salary of RMB 300,000, plus college performance bonus, research rewards and income from technology transfer. For Category A scholars who pass the mid-term assessment, a personal subsidy of up to RMB 100,000 per year can be applied from the research startup fund in the last three years of the appointment term.
