Postdoc position, materials simulations/machine learning, U. of South Carolina

One postdoctoral or Research Scientist position of machine learning or simulations of polymers, biomaterials or nanomaterials is available in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. This position is for the projects about polymers, biointerfaces, biomaterials, or nanomaterials using machine learning or/and multiscale simulations. The appointment will be 1-2 years. Required qualifications: 1) Expertise in machine learning / AI for material design, or materials simulations (QM/MM, DFT, AIMD, coarse-grained MD, cellular simulation, or Monte Carlo). 2) Good programming skills. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: (1) machine learning or AI for the materials design; (2) experience in the quantum software (QChem, CP2K, Quantum Expresso or VASP); (3) metadynamics simulations or the development of coarse-grained forcefield parameters would be a plus.
