Reviewer #1: This paper is unacceptable for publication. The "response surface methodology" (RSM) computational treatment has been applied to the preparation of materials which are not adequately characterized. The meaning of this optimization is questionable!
The main experimental drawbacks are the following:
1.        The graft-polymerization is performed in heterogeneous phase; MAH is grafted on the surface of the PP grains (note: PP is not characterized is terms of MW, mean size of grains and distribution, solubility in xylene-water 1/1.).
However, the % of MAH grafted is not determined by a surface analytical method, but in solution, by titration. Moreover, it is not certain that the two acidic functions resulting from the anhydride hydrolysis have been really titrated (calibration curves are needed).
2.        Purification and yields of isolated PP-g-MAH-St are not given; GPC are missing (no idea about chain cleavage concomitant with radicalar grafting?)
3.        PP is not soluble in benzene at room temperature! What product has been really recorded by 1H NMR? (very low MW impurities?)
4.        DSC results cannot be correlated to MW! GPC is required to effectively control the degradation of PP.
5.        The IR assignments are incorrect (for instance 1706 cm-1 is due to CO2H and not to anhydride).
6.        The results of the present "solvothermal route" (heterogeneous medium) cannot be compared to "melt processing" (homogeneous medium).

有道理,连DSC和分子量有关系都不知道, 很多类事的都用酸碱滴定
