[½»Á÷] Postdoctoral fellow in Medicinal Chemistry, McGill University

Postdoctoral fellow in Medicinal Chemistry, McGill University.

Project description:

This funded project is to develop novel inhibitors of emerging drug targets for lung cancer.  Our preliminary work has discovered initial hits, which show selective cytotoxicity against a panel of lung cancer cell lines, with no obvious toxic effects on normal cells. As a key member of our team, the candidate is expected to chemically optimize the initial active compounds (i.e., Hit-to-Lead Optimization). Our laboratory includes three components: Structure-based Drug Design, Medicinal Chemistry and Biological Assays, providing a multidisciplinary environment. We routinely utilize structure-based drug design approaches for hit identification and optimization. The candidate will have the opportunity to be trained in Structure-based Drug Design.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate who is interested in anticancer drug discovery and determines to develop a life-saving drug. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry, which was obtained in 2025 or 2026.

Language required: English

Contact:
Interested individuals should send a cover letter, updated CV and the coordinates of 2-3 referees to Dr. Jian Hui Wu (email address:  jian.h.wu@mcgill.ca).
