[交流] Funded Ph.D. Positions in Plant Biology at Purdue University

The laboratory of Prof. Yun Zhou in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Ph.D. students to join our research group. Our research aims to uncover the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying plant meristem development, stem cell homeostasis, and cell fate specification. We integrate molecular genetics, live-cell imaging, biochemistry, and functional genomics to address fundamental questions in plant developmental biology (Lai et al., PLOS Biology, 2026; Geng et al., Current Biology, 2024; Han et al., Nature Communications, 2020; Zhou et al., Science, 2018; Zhou et al., Nature, 2015).

Funded Ph.D. positions are available for Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. Graduate research assistantships provide full financial support, covering the tuition, health insurance, and stipend.

Applicants with a B.S. or M.S. degree in biology, plant science, genetics, molecular biology, or related fields are encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome students with a strong interest in plant development, stem cell biology, cell signaling, transcriptional regulation, quantitative biology, or related research areas. International applicants whose native language is not English need to meet Purdue University's English proficiency requirements (TOEFL or IELTS).

Prospective students are encouraged to email Prof. Yun Zhou at zhouyun@purdue.edu with the following materials:

•        Curriculum vitae (CV)
•        A brief statement describing research interests and career goals
•        Academic transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable for initial inquiry)

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Prof. Zhou early to discuss research interests and the graduate application process.
