我们正在招聘 1 - 2名对荧光显微技术和单分子生物物理学具有浓厚兴趣的博士研究生。该博士项目提供
为期五年的全额资助,预计于 2027 年8 月开始。成功的申请者将参与交叉学科的研究,并与来自物理、
生物和工程领域的科学家合作。同时,学生还将有机会参与世界领先研究机构举办的研讨会和培训项目。
博士生将在物理、电子工程与生物的交叉领域接受系统培养,主要包括:
• 光学系统设计与前沿荧光显微技术
• 电子技术与仪器控制
• 常用编程语言(如 python、matlab)
• 生物样品制备
• 数据分析与建模
• 科学写作与会议交流
基本申请条件
• 已获得或预计于 2027年前获得物理学、光学、电气与计算机工程、生物医学工程或相关专业的学学士或硕士学位
优先考虑条件
• 具有扎实的光学、电子学或相关领域基础
• 熟悉至少一种编程语言(如 python、matlab、julia、c++)
• 具备良好的数学与建模基础
• 学习能力强,愿意在跨学科环境中工作
• 具备良好的英文读写和交流能力
资助待遇津贴。
录取的博士生将获得为期五年的助教/助研奖学金资助,包括:学费,医疗保险,每月约2800 美元的生活费。

刘晟博士于新墨西哥大学获得光学博士学位,其后在普渡大学及欧洲分子生物学实验室完成博士后研究,
目前任克莱姆森大学物理与天文学系助理教授。主要研究方向为开发前沿荧光显微技术,并将其应用于蛋
白质相互作用与组织结构的研究。具体包括:实时单分子跟踪,三维单分子定位显微技术,单分子数据分
析,量子信息理论在荧光显微技术中的应用。研究成果发表于 science、nature methods、nature

Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Positions in Biophysics (Microscopy & Single-Molecule)
Department of Physics and Astronomy, Clemson University
Principal Investigator: Dr. Sheng Liu
Ph.D. positions
We are seeking 1–2 outstanding and highly motivated Ph.D. students with strong interests in advanced fluorescence
microscopy and single-molecule biophysics.
The Ph.D. positions are fully funded for five years, beginning in August 2027. Successful applicants will engage in
highly interdisciplinary research and collaborate with scientists across physics, biology, and engineering. Students
will also have opportunities to participate in workshops and training programs at leading institutions worldwide.
Ph.D. students will receive interdisciplinary training at the interface of physics, engineering, and biology, including:
• Optical system design and advanced fluorescence microscopy
• Electronics and instrument development
• Programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
• Biological sample preparation
• Data analysis and modeling
• Scientific writing and communication
Minimum Qualifications
• BS or MS in Physics, Optics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely
related field (completed or expected by 2027)
Preferred Qualifications
• Solid training in optics, electronics, or related areas
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Julia, C++)
• Solid background in mathematics and modeling
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and willingness to work in interdisciplinary environments
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
Funding Support
The successful applicants will be supported for five years with a Teaching/Research Assistant scholarship. The
scholarship includes tuition, health care, and a monthly stipend of approximately $2,800 (subject to university
guidelines).

Postdoctoral Fellow position
We are seeking an excellent and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in Biophysics.
This position focuses on the development of a high-resolution single-particle tracking system based on MINFLUX
microscopy to study protein dynamics and interactions in live cells. The successful candidate will play a key role in
both instrumentation development and cutting-edge interdisciplinary research.
