Call for Candidates
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship
Quantum Uncertainty Quantification (QUQ)
H Join us to advance Bayesian inference with quantum computing!

Context
This project aims to harness the computational advantages of quantum computing for Bayesian inference
and uncertainty quantification in high-dimensional systems. By integrating quantum algorithms with probabilistic
modeling, we seek to improve both the accuracy and efficiency of inference in complex engineering and scientific
applications.
Key research themes include:
• Monte Carlo methods for quantum computing
• Gaussian processes and Gaussian fields on quantum hardware
• High-dimensional uncertainty quantification
You will be involved in our ongoing project on a closely related topic and collaborate with colleagues at Caltech
(Prof. Michael Ortiz), the University of Cambridge (Prof. Fehmi Cirak), and the Univeristy of Exeter (Prof. Gavin
Tabor).

Candidate Profile
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in:
• Mathematics, engineering, physics, or computational science
• Probability theory, numerical analysis, and scientific computing
• Programming experience (Python, C++, or Julia)
• A collaborative mindset and interest in interdisciplinary research
Applicants must satisfy the mobility and experience requirements of the MSCA-PF scheme.
