博后申请教授这样给回信，应该如何回复，请高人指点。

| Thank you for your interest in working for me. I assume you are talking about graduating next Fall, and wanting to start a postdoc in January 2011? It’s hard to say whether I will need a postdoc then, but it is quite possible. Please note that I have moved on to UC Merced, a new campus in the prestigious University of California system. Your publication record in the physical area is quite impressive, but I’m afraid Northeastern University is not very highly acclaimed in the USA. I know professors Zhang and Zhou and can ask them about you, but more information would be good. Did you take the GRE? That would be helpful…grades, rank in class, etc… |

回信的这个教授不会就是Modest吧？ 东北在boston，确实不算太好的学校，但那个新学校merced暂时业内也没什么反馈。 教授还算比较热情，你一条条回答他的问题就是了。以及尽可能提过你的个人信息（GRE，TOEFL，GPA，班级排名，等等） 信的最后附上，Please keep me posted if there is any update in the openings. [ Last edited by jhuiuc on 2009-11-16 at 17:51 ] |
