4 (4’-aminophenyl) -2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dicarbo-isopropoxy- 1,4-dihydropyridine 120 g. 4-(4’-nitrophenyl) -2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dicarboiso- propoxy-1,4-dihydropyridine are kept in 500 cc. isopro panol in the presence of 10 g. Raney nickel under hydro gen (pressure autoclave, 70° C.) and, when the hydrogen absorption is completed (1½ to 2 hours), the product is filtered off with suction. After concentration and cooling, pale yellow crystals of M.P. 184° C. are obtained. |
