Albert Bruix Fusté,

Albert Bruix Fusté studied Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (2009), where he also completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Francesc Illas and Prof. Konstantin Neyman (2014). His doctoral thesis dealt with the computational modelling of catalytic materials based on metals and reducible oxides. After obtaining his PhD, Albert joined the group of Prof. Bjørk Hammer at Aarhus University (Denmark) funded by a Marie-Curie fellowship. There, Albert investigated nanostructured catalysts based on MoS2, novel 2D materials, global optimization methods, and machine-learning applied to computational chemistry. In 2017, he joined the group of Prof. Karsten Reuter at the Technical University of Munich, (Germany) funded by a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In Munich, Albert focused on the microkinetic modelling of oxidation reactions on complex transition metal surfaces. In 2020, Albert returned to his alma mater as a Beatriu de Pinós fellow and will continue researching complex nanostructured catalysts with a combination of electronic structure methods, global optimisation, microkinetic modelling, and machine learning.

目前Prof. Bruix 招收2026年CSC学生，课题组氛围良好，组里有博后可以指导，他希望能招收有量子化学，理论计算化学，催化领域的硕士学生。

1.2026年6月份即将毕业的在校硕士生或者来访学，交流
2.需要有计算化学方向的SCI文章一篇
3.雅思成绩6.0及以上，如果有特殊情况还未取得雅思成绩，需要看面试结果。
