南京大学人工智能学院Henry Reeve副教授招两名2026博士生，研究方向：统计与机器学习理论 I am recruiting two PhD students to join my research group at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing University. I am currently an Associate Professor at NJU AI and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Statistical Science at the University of Bristol (UK). My group works at the intersection of Statistics and Machine Learning, with the aim of producing theoretically grounded work that is publishable in both top-tier statistics journals (such as Annals of Statistics, JRSS-B, etc.) and leading machine learning conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, etc.). I am broadly interested in Statistics, Machine Learning, and their interface, with a particular focus on: - Adaptive non-parametric inference - Transfer learning - Subgroup discovery - Compressive learning - Classification with label noise - Structured prediction - Multi-armed bandit Requirements: - A solid foundation in mathematics - Strong enthusiasm and curiosity for research - Good coding skills are helpful but not strictly required If you are interested, please send the following materials: - CV - Academic transcript - Motivation letter to: henrywjreeve@icloud.com henrywjreeve@nju.edu.cn The deadline for September 2026 PhD application sign-up is January 6th at 17:00.
