外资招聘发酵技术博士实习生

Placement opportunity Since 2022 BiomeMega works to accelerate projects led by industry, initially in Sydney then Singapore, and we now expand to Shanghai to perform further research and soon manufacturing. Aiming to build a strong research team for the years ahead, we are recruiting a highly motivated PhD student to join our team during an industry placement (flexible timing for a minimum of 3 months), with a view of promoting upskilling that will make the student employable by our group. The ideal candidate will acquire hands-on experiences in: • Fermentation upscaling (lab, pilot and industrial CDMO settings). • Process optimization (media design, refinements, protocol development). • Omics analysis and data integration (proteomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics, AI). • Finished product development with corporates. • Participation in meetings and events for experience gathering. • Bacterial genetic engineering. • Safety and functional studies in animals, organoids and human trials. What else do we offer • Technical training in cutting-edge microbial biotechnology. • Mentoring by experienced scientists, entrepreneurs and industry. • Exposure to corporate-facing projects involving multinational partners. • Enhanced career readiness in fermentation and biotechnology. • Potential for employment at BiomeMega post-PhD conclusion. • Financial assistance to cover daily expenses (e.g. transport, meals, events). Who should apply (Selection Criteria) • Final year PhD candidates in microbiology, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, synthetic biology, food science or related fields. • Individuals with strong career interest in fermentation and industrial biotechnology. • Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic startup collaborating with industry. • Possessing lab-based skills and experiences with experimental design, preparing reagents and materials, performing microbial culturing, obtaining and processing samples for omics and analytical tests, analyzing data. • Ability to take directions from the leadership team is crucial. • Experience engineering bacterial strains and working with animal models is desirable, but not essential. • Ability to read, write and speak in English is essential. |
