The research team of Dr. Calvin Or at the University of Hong Kong invites applications for a PhD student position in the field of health informatics, healthcare data analytics, patient safety, and human factors for September 2026 admission. Dr. Calvin Or is currently an associate professor and assistant head in the Department of Data and Systems Engineering (DASE) at the University of Hong Kong. His research work focuses on the application of human factors engineering to improve the design and usability of health care work system and technology to enhance the satisfaction, safety, and health of patients and health care professionals. It would also be advantageous if the applicant has research publications and/or a master's degree, specialized in industrial engineering, human factors, experimental psychology, healthcare systems engineering, human-computer interaction, computer sciences, statistics, or other related areas.
