what does "cover image" mean

My paper has been accepted, and the editor told me: "I am currently in the process of selecting the cover image for the issue and would like to know if you have any images that are related to your papers but were not ultimately included in the final version that could be used?" It was my first paper, so i don't know what it means? please tell me! Thanks Sorry my computer can't type Chinese character. |
