Laboratory Introduction The laboratory primarily engages in basic and applied research related to marine resource chemistry and biochemistry. It focuses on exploring functional enzymes that are resistant to extreme environments and highly efficient in the ocean, utilizing biochemical and synthetic biology, as well as protein engineering, for the development and conversion of marine biological resources and bioenergy. The associate researcher's relevant research is supported by over 10 national key projects, provincial and ministerial projects, and horizontal research projects in collaboration with central enterprises. The laboratory has published over 20 SCI papers in international journals such as Metabolic Engineering, Biotechnology Journal, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Biotechnology for Biofuels, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, ACS Synthetic Biology, and BioEnergy Research. Additionally, the first inventor has been granted 15 patents. The laboratory emphasizes the cultivation of graduate students' abilities and provides humanistic care.
