The research achievement before in the tolerance mechanism of bacterium for heavy metal ions is mainly about individual response , in fact it is probably a population effect.

The results in the previous reasch of the bacterial resistance mechanisms of heavy metal ions are mainly focus on the single cell toleration of  heavy metal iron, but in fact bacteria resistant to heavy metals is possibly a group effect.
