[交流] 香港科技大学Dan Tsang 教授团队招收2-3名全奖博士研究生

PhD Position Overview:
Professor Dan Tsang’s lab at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) seeks 2-3 self-motivated PhD students to join in February/September 2026. The potential PhD candidates will participate in diverse research studies related to carbon-based catalysts and sustainable engineering.

Research Interests:
Our research addresses societal needs and real-world environmental challenges, advancing fundamental knowledge, and developing net-zero technologies for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Potential projects include:
1. Carbon-based catalysts for upcycling biomass waste into value-added products for sustainable development goals
2. Carbon-based catalysts for advanced wastewater treatment to solve real-world problems

Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor/Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related fields
• Research experience in surface and catalytic chemistry, expertise in advanced characterization techniques, and mechanistic understanding of catalytic reactions
• Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively
• Strong English scientific writing and communication skills

About Prof. Dan Tsang
Ir Prof. Dan Tsang (ICE Fellow, RSC Fellow, HKIE Fellow) is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of Research Center on Decarbonization Technology at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Pao Yue-Kong Chair Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization at Zhejiang University in China. He has over 20 years of R&D experience, has published more than 600 articles in top 10% journals with 75,000+ citations, and was selected as Stanford University's Top 2% Scientists and Clarivate's Highly Cited Researchers. Dan’s team aspires to develop green technologies for long-term decarbonization and promote resource circularity for sustainable urban development.
