We have received your manuscript for consideration for publication. Prior to sending it out for independent review, we examine all manuscripts for presentation quality. This preliminary examination finds that the format of this manuscript does not meet the standards of Acta Materialia. The following issues marked with an (X) need to be improved before we can continue the review process for your paper: (X) The text should be in single-column format; please revise the layout of your manuscript to meet the format requirements of the journal.
We welcome you to make the above amendments to your manuscript and submit your revision. Please include, in your comments to the editor, information regarding what measures you have taken to edit the format of the submission.
