英国谢菲尔德大学招收计算机博士1名，强化学习方向，2025年秋季入学

We are currently looking to hire a PhD student to work on reinforcement learning from human feedback at the University of Sheffield. The aim is to develop novel reinforcement learning from human feedback algorithms that can solve complex deep reinforcement learning tasks more efficiently from limited, uncertain, and inconsistent human feedback. We will also support the student to work on any other reinforcement learning related projects if they want. The preferred starting date for this PhD position would be in October 2025. Supervisors: Dr. Bei Peng, Dr. Robert Loftin Requirements: 1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. 2. Strong programming skills and mathematical background in machine learning/reinforcement learning. 3. Good English communication skills, with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (with no less than 6.0 in each component). 4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with common deep learning and machine learning frameworks. Scholarship information: For UK home students, this is a fully funded 3.5-year PhD studentship. For international students, you will need to pay the difference between the UK and overseas tuition fees by securing additional funding or self-funding (e.g., the PhD studentship can potentially cover tuition fees but not living expenses).
