[交流] Ph.D. position in the area of Wood Physics at UBC

A four-year, full-time graduate scholarship is being offered for a suitable candidate aiming to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree specializing in Wood Physics within the Department of Wood Science at the Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia. This scholarly endeavor will primarily investigate the influence of water sorption thermodynamics on the ultrastructural properties of wood, while also encompassing a broader scope of related research areas.

Applicants are required to hold both a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in wood science or a related discipline such as physics, materials science, or an applied science field like chemical or materials engineering. Previous research experience focusing on wood-water interactions is considered an advantageous qualification. Given the rigorous nature of this academic program, candidates must possess substantial foundational knowledge to successfully navigate advanced coursework and conduct high-level research.

The program is set to commence on September 1, 2025.
