Smart Sensors based on ion-electroactive polymers Recruitment of Ph.D. Candidates and Post-Docs Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for 2-3 dedicated candidates for Ph.D. Degree or Post-Doc majoring in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related disciplines who meet the follow criteria: Master´s degree or above. Basic research experience is required. Hands-on experience in ion-electron devices, e.g. supercapacitors, batteries or ionic transistors, or proven skills in MEMS technology, is preferred. Proficiency in both Chinese and English, native Chinese speakers is preferred. What Will You Do? Assisting with design work of a MEMS infrasonic sensor array based on innovative ion-electroactive polymer composites. Supporting data collection and processing from practical parameter tests, including sensitivity, detection resolution and background noise. Supporting with the field demonstration of an infrasonic sensor in either hydraulic pipeline microleakage detection or traffic bridge integrity structural monitoring, under guidance of senior professors What Do We Offer? Ph.D. or Post-doc position affiliated to the School of Instrument Science and Technology, Xi´an Jiaotong University (XJTU) , note that a 6-month trial period is applied for pre-evaluation before formal registration. Researcher position in Chongqing Technology & Business University (CTBU) alternatively to XJTU, dependingon needs and expectations of both sides. Salary and other benefits to discuss in the interview (to determine based on position and experience, following standards in XJTU and CTBU).
