Funded Ph.D. Positions at the University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS Funded Ph.D. positions are available immediately in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Prof. Xu’s research group, with start dates of Spring 2025 or Fall 2025. Our interdisciplinary research focuses on areas of flexible bioelectronics, biodevice design, biomechanics, piezoelectric materials, multifunctional composite materials, and material characterization and modeling. We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals with bachelor’s or master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. (priority given to applicants with an MSc) Successful applicants will be provided with competitive stipends, tuition waivers, and health insurance. Candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with national laboratories, research centers, industrial partners, and leading universities and medical schools across the nation, such as Dartmouth College, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
