意大利帕多瓦大学Mauro Carraro教授招收CSC博士生

一、Research interests: Much of his research work has been dedicated to the study of hybrid, organic-inorganic polyoxometalate (POM) complexes, for which he has studied the synthetic strategy, catalytic properties and reaction mechanism. He has also contributed to the design and characterization of POM-based systems and interfaces for energy conversion (water splitting). More recently he has started a research line relating to the biomedical applications of these complexes, studying their conjugation with peptides and interactions with proteins of interest for anti-tumor therapy. Currently, he is involved in the preparation of hybrid materials and nanostructures for applications in catalysis and water treatment, and in the valorisation (circular economy) of industrial wastes 二、Introduction of Prof. Mauro Carraro Mauro Carraro graduated in organic-biological chemistry at Padova University in 1998. Title of the thesis: "Functional models of haloperoxidase enzymes: structural studies in solution and reactivity". Supervisor: prof. G. Modena. He continued his activity with a PhD in Chemical Sciences, obtained in 2002, with a thesis entitled: "Study of organic-inorganic hybrid photocatalysts for the activation of oxygen in aqueous solution". Supervisor: prof. G. Scorrano. In 2002 and 2003 he carried out research with grants and contracts from Padova University and CNR to study catalytic membranes for water treatment. From 2004 to 2013 he was research assistant at Padova University, then he was appointed associate professor (from 2014 to 2023). Since May 2023 he is full professor of organic chemistry. Author of approximately 112 papers, co-author of 5 book chapters, and holder of 2 patent.
