PhD Positions in Applied Mathematics at The University of Adelaide The School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Adelaide is pleased to offer three prestigious PhD positions focused on transport phenomena in porous media. This research, grounded in applied mathematics, involves the development of exact and asymptotic solutions to non-linear partial differential equations. The work has significant industrial and environmental implications, including applications in CO2 and hydrogen storage, aquifer contamination, well stimulation, and Enhanced Oil Recovery. We invite applications from outstanding candidates holding an MSc in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, or Theoretical Physics. A strong publication record will be considered an advantage. Exceptional candidates with an MSc or MEng in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, who possess a robust mathematical foundation, are also encouraged to apply.
