We are seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researchers to join our nanomedicine laboratory, led by Prof. Raymond Schiffelers and Dr. Zhiyong Lei, with three main research directions:
1. Development of Nature-Inspired Novel Lipid Nanoparticles: Pioneering the creation of synthetic yet nature-inspired engineered nanoparticles, designed for advanced gene delivery and genome therapy.
2. Next-Generation In Vivo CAR-T Development: Engineering innovative CAR-T cell therapies for in vivo applications, aimed at transforming immunotherapy.
3. Genome Therapy Powered by Phage-Assisted Continuous Evolution: Harnessing the power of phage evolution to improve genome editing tools.
About Us: Prof. Raymond Schiffelers is the head of the Nanomedicine Department at University Medical Center Utrecht, chairman of the European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN Association), and VP of Preclinical Development at Nanocell Therapeutics. An expert in targeted delivery of therapeutics, his work spans across diseases and therapeutic molecules from conventional drugs to nucleic acids. His research has over 40,000 citations, an H-index of 86, and numerous patents in clinical trials, supported by several prestigious European and national grants, including EXPERT, BRAIN, and NANOengine. Dr. Zhiyong Lei is an Assistant Professor focusing on cardiovascular biotherapeutic delivery systems. He is trying to develops viral vectors, synthetic lipid nanoparticles, and engineered extracellular vesicles to treat cardiovascular diseases.
