Wymagania:
• Hold a master degree in Materials chemistry, Technical Chemistry, Applied chemistry, or similar fields
• Specialisation in advanced methods to prepare and test energy storage materials
• Good demonstrated knowledge of electrochemical methods and/or materials synthesis
• Familiar with using and interpreting data from physicochemical characterization techniques, especially XRD, XPS, TEM and Gas adsorption/desorption
• Programming knowledge and experience with Matlab and similar softwares is handy
• Good communication and social skills
• Good proficiency in English

Opis zadań:
Ph.D student will work at Poznan University of Technology, Poznan, Poland. The work includes synthesis and investigation of novel two-dimensional and three-dimensional materials for charge storage applications. Physicochemical and electrochemical methods will be used to test solid state and slurry electrodes and energy storage devices. Mechanistic understanding of processes in the nanoporous materials related with the interplay of redox-active couples such as zinc and iodides is at the core of the work. Kinetic as well as dynamic parameters of ionic species in the bulk of electrode material will be evaluated. The objective of the proposed work is to finalize PhD dissertation and publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Warunki zatrudnienia:
• Stable cooperation with active scientific team with friendly and supportive environment
• Doctoral scholarship in the amount of 3467 PLN gross per month before mid-term evaluation and 5341 PLN gross after mid-term evaluation – the scholarship will be paid for 36 from the NCN project funds
• The scholarship holder must be admitted to the Doctoral School of Poznan University of Technology

The application should include:
• CV containing information about the candidate’s scientific achievements
• List of publications
• 1-page motivation letter in English
• Email address of two scientists who can provide recommendation letter
• A copy of the Master’s thesis and diploma
• A copy of the grade sheets for Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees
• Consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the competition

The planned date of the competition results: 29 August 2024.
